From identifying needs and risk evaluation to the total systems integration, through Agile Enterprise Transformation Tremend uses technology to create a competitive edge for its clients.
In May, with the support of Tremend, Carrefour launched the unique portal www.carrefour.ro, a new and continuously evolving project which reunites carrefour-online.ro shop, carrefour.ro institutional website, the retailer’s own apparel brand Tex, tex.carrefour.ro, and the employer branding website- lumea-carrefour.ro. At the same time, the new platform brings to its clients the first Marketplace system developed by a FMCG retailer in Romania under the “Carrefour & Partners” section. For developing it, Tremend employed advanced technologies to solve some complex problems regarding the integration of the online Carrefour systems and the offline ones created for taking the orders and preparing them in the hypermarkets. This way, the Click & Collect system with its two aspects- the online ordering and the product pickup inside the hypermarkets- was a technical challenge Tremend successfully surpassed.
“The launch of the unique Carrefour.ro portal consolidated the omni-channel business model used by Carrefour. The integration of all websites is a natural step in responding to our different targets, may it be clients, suppliers, partners, present or future employees, institutions or associations we collaborate with. The new carrefour.ro portal becomes our only online interface which reunites under the same roof Carrefour Romania’s digital universe. This was the big challenge but the collaboration with our partners and their total dedication made everything possible. In Tremend we found an innovation and long-term growth oriented partner.”, said Andrei Luchian, E-Commerce Solution Architect Carrefour România.
The development of the Carrefour & Partners segment of the digital platform was a big challenge from the scalability and total accessibility point of view. The platform reunites tens of Carrefour partners, over 150.000 products and an ever-growing number of end users. At the same time, the products ordered online in this section can be delivered anywhere in the country or picked up in any Click & Collect point in the Carrefour hypermarkets at a national level. This is a first for a FMCG retailer.
“The kind of project done for Carrefour is a demonstration of the way in which technologies deployed in our solutions become a powerful tool for our clients; a true competitive advantage and a strong differentiator in their hands. We are glad we could contribute to such a project”, said Marius Hanganu, Managing Partner Tremend.
The IT&C company’s experience (over 400 high-graded projects for major clients on three continents) was paramount in the development of the integrated digital platform for Carrefour. Tremend’s expertise and the engineering DNA of the company founded by Ioan Cocan and Marius Hanganu were important in the digital implementation of the retailer’s market vision. From identifying risks and needs to the integration of other digital systems created by other partners, by using Agile Digital Enterprise Tremend succeeded in creating a hi-end digital system in order to give its client a competitive edge.
